94' Eg Civic Idle Problem
My car will idle high and low over and over while the car is sitting. This happened when its really cold out, but stopped once the car warmed up.

Fast Idle control valve, on the bottom of the throttle body. the plastic plunger on the firewall side needs to be screwed towards the front of the car. That's how it is on a 92Si.
I believe you can do it with out removing anything. Make sure the cap is tight... It's been a long time... having a hardtime remembering.
Also clean the IAC valve with carb cleaner. It's on the back of the intake manifold.

Mine does the same thing, up until @ operating temps. Thing is, I've taken both valves from off the TB and the IM and cleaned them out good with parts cleaner. Nothing changed. I tried looking for this "so-called" screw to screw in...didn't have such a thing. Since it only happens on the project car, I guess it just doesn't bother me any more. LOL
