yeah my "vtech" stopped working a couple months back... I got it last year for christams, blue... my stepdad said I just need to change the battery since batterys in cordless phones die even though they are re-chargable...

I AM VERY PROUD TO BE THE SECOND TO INFORM YOU THAT VTECH MY FRIEND IS A PHONE......I AM NOT SURE IF HONDA WILL EVER USE THIS TECHNOLOGY ON THEIR CARS BECAUSE THERE IS NO NEED FOR YOUR HONDA TO ALSO BE USED AS A CORDLESS TELEPHONE........
I THINK WHAT YOU MEAN IS VTEC.........
check the vtec solinoid and the wiring........

Could be an ignitor or distributor problem, if by "clogging" you mean "bogging." Does the car suddenly slow down, and feel like it won't rev any further?

It sounds very familiar, I had the same problem a few times. The ignitor inside the distributor sometimes goes bad on Hondas, and causes the car to severely bog, or stop accellerating well before the redline. Sometimes it can cause problems with starting as well. Replace that ignitor, or swap distributors with someone to see if that solves the problem.
