94 Del Sol ECU Problem
Hello
I have a 94 Del Sol vtec
I been having random issues with the car not starting after it would rain. Now it will not start at all(rain or shine) unless you heat the ecu up with a hair dryer.
I have tested/ re-soldered the main relay and it is working fine.
I found some info about doing the K test - which it passed(I think) 5v @ the map sensor.
I thought it was a caps(they were leaking) so I ordered a cap kit and replaced all 8 caps.
Still needs to be heated to start. Once you get it started it runs fine no issues other than the random speedo flutter.
Is there anyway to save this ecu? I have read(while researching on how to fix it) it is a hard to find nowadays(P30 A00) and I will have to get a chipped ecu to replace it.
The car is all stock and would really like to keep it that way if possible.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: 94 Del Sol ECU Problem
When you exhaust every other troubleshooting step and are about to trash that ECU, remove the PCB from the housing and place it in a pre-heated oven @ 220 degrees for two minutes. Re-installed and test the ECU.
