94 civic won't start....pleease help
Hi
A friend of mine had his civic broken into the other day. He owns a '94 Civic EX. They stole the radio and cluster...damn them.....good thing he had his multi lock on or the car would have been gone.
But the worst part is the car doesn't start anymore. After they broke the window to get into the car they popped the hood open to disconnect the battery so the alarm would stop going off. They ripped out the dash bezel and took the cluster and the radio......I checked the wires....and they look fine...nothing pulled out or anything. I checked under the hood and nothing seemed to be touched except for the battery. I have no clue why the car doesn't start anymore.
Can anyone please help??
The car cranks and sounds like its gonna start....but it just doesn't catch. Its like the sound you get when you have no gas.......I even went to the gas station to put like a gallon of gas in it....but still wouldn't start.
Any help would be great......
Thanks in advance

you said the car has multi locks on...is it like an alarm/immobilizer or something? if so, it could be that.
check ALL fuses and grounds.

actually a multi lock is just a locking mechanism that goes around the shifter....so you can't put it in any gear
and all the fuses are good...
thanks for the tip tho

have you checked the ACG fuse? i know you said you checked the fuses but sometimes people just check the fuse that they think could be causing the no start problem. also you said the fuel pump was priming, what about spark? it's happened to me before where the coil just straight went out. good luck in getting it started

Re: (ntogethernow)
I checked the car more carefully and you are right....I'm getting no spark ......
could it be just the coil....or would something else cause it to not get spark anymore?....
how much is it for the coils??
Any one?.....thanks in advance
