94 Civic - Need radiator replacement
The stock radiator split (can you believe it only lasted 19 years) and I am looking for suggestions for a replacement.
Three names have been suggested to me:
1) KOYO
2) FLUIDYNE - forget this one (no AT cooler)
3) GRIFFIN
Does anyone have experience with these or others. What would you suggest as a replacement?
Car: 94 Civic EX coupe AT

Re: 94 Civic - Need radiator replacement
The problem with Koyo is that their hi performance model (all aluminum) does not work with AT. The plastic model seems to be OK at $87 compared with the Denso (OEM) at $46. But their sales people (Koyo) are not very convincing when explaining the benefit of their products.
The Mishimoto at $260, $360, $400 seems a bit overkill for a daily driver. The $400 works with AT, the 260 and $360 need a $110 optional Mishimoto transmission cooler.
I do appreciate the informantion, I was trying to get an idea from people that have had any of these and their feedback. I am a big believer in OEM (not from the dealership). I was wondering if I was missing something better than OEM.

The only "downside" or issue with the factory or factory equivalent style radiators is the seam between he upper portion and the cooling fins themselves. That's where most leaks happen.
