94 civic ex d16z6 code 4
Hey there, my ex coupe is throwing off a code 4 and after research its the crank position sensor which is inconveniently located in the dizzy. To avoid throwing money at the problem I'm trying to troubleshoot as much as humanly possible. I've tested continuity between the ECU plug and dizzy plug for both wires and they're fine. I also saw on a diagram on another site that said I should get 350-700 ohms on something and I'm getting 0.4 ohms while set to 200 ohms on the wires themselves. Should I be testing the resistance within the dizzy itself on the male side of the connection to get the 350-700 or what? This is my first civic and first day with a multimeter. Consider me completely stupid with your responses please.

That's the diagram I used to get this far. I'm getting 0.4 ohms between b and b15 also 0.4 between f and b16. When I test the male side of the dizzy connector for the crank it reads open circuit. I can't figure out where to get the 350-700 unless the 0.4 would be 4xx at a smaller test setting (200 is as low as mine will set)

200, 2000, 20k, 200k, 2000k. 200 is the only setting that picks up anything, so should I view that as not getting the 350-700 or do you reckon I'm not testing the correct area, I read it as test the wires from dizzy connector to ecu connector for resistance so I did, I also tested the dizzy using the 2 male plugs for the crank as if that made a circuit (read open circuit) and test the 2 females going to the ECU as if it made a circuit and it also read open
