94 civic EX Code 21
So I am driving my civic three days after getting it all put back together and bam..
Check engine light comes on. So I check the code. It's code #21 (vtec spool solenoid). I look under the hood to find that the plug at the solenoid was not in all the way. So I plug it back together. Reset the ECU and the light goes off.
I then drove about 15 miles home. No light came on.. So out of curiosity I jump the service plug again... it still flashes code #21.
If there was no problem the code should have been cleared.. right?
Can anyone tell me what the issue might be?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

well,
the light has yet to come back on. Event though I can jump the service plug and it the code still shows.
When the ecu reads that there is a fault the check engine light comes on. The question that I have is..
Do all the codes cause the light to come on? Or is it that some do and some don't?

what method did you use to reset the ecu? i have hondata ecu so it kinda sits up against my firewall allowing me to just unplug the ecu... i unplug it for about 10 seconds, plug it back in and its good to go.. you can do that or take off your negative cable for bout 10 secs also.. that'll do the trick

that has never worked for me in the past so i always opted to unplug the ecu or take off negative cable
