Default 94 civic DX question.

My friend just bought the car mentioned in the title and he doesnt think it has power steering. I was wondering if this is true, or is his power steering just messed up.

If it is a coupe it has Power steering, if it is a hatch then I believe it does not have PS.

If you can't tell by just turning the wheel, then look for a reservoir with a red cap next to the one for windshield washer fluid.

You should be able to tell right away by turning the wheel or unless you are 16 then look for the ps reserviour.

I believe only the automatic DX models had power steering. 5-speed DXes did not.

powersteering just robs you of power, and hurts yoru feel of the road. Besides you should only be turning with both hands

Prolly not much. Power Steering was an option. My auto has it and my friend's 5spd hatch has it.
