Default 94 Civic DX hatch - low idle and cylinder 1 misfire

I bought a 1994 Honda civic dx hatch. It has the d15 motor with a simple atfter market intake on it. One thing that it has done since I bought it is that it has a low idle and it misfires on one cylinder. My mechanic can't seem to figure out whats wrong with it and he specializes in Hondas. I have taken it into my own hands now. I have done all the obvious stuff I could think of like new spark plugs, wires, distrib cap and coil pack. Yet the problem persists. Then I replaced the number one cylinder because it was misfiring from that cylinder. That didn't work. Now I have replaced my fuel pump and fuel filter. Still misfires. One last thing I might try is replacing the distributor. Anyone have any ideas? Please help me!

As mentioned, compression test the cylinders and also check whether cylinder 1 injector sprays gas and cylinder 1 spark plug sparks.
