94 Civic DX - extra plugs after D15B7 swap
I need help with my 94 civic DX 5spd. I bought the car with a d16y7 blown motor in it. I'm assuming someone swapped in since its not stock for a 94 civic. So I recently bought a d15b7 motor which is the stock one I'm pretty sure of, dropped it in. All the mounts line up, everything is good but the wiring harness. It fits all nessacery plugs on the car. There's just a few left over that have nothing to plug into. Its the oringinal dizzy, Manny, everything d15b7 stock. But the harness is throwing me off big time. Can I make this work or no? It has the original p06 ecu also. Please help thnkssssss

So you're using the wiring harness from the d16y7? Civic EG :: View topic - OBD1 Engine harness plug and wire list.....

Might have to dumb it down some if anyone could do so? I'm new to the Honda world. I know I could get another harness and it will work fine hopefully. But can I make the one that's in the car work? Some dumbed down answers for me would be great.

I know one is on top of the throttle body on the y7 but not on the b7. Also another is near the dizzy. The two plugs in the dizzy fit. There's a ground looking plug that fits. And there's one more that doesn't have a spot in that area. I know there's another one or two I'm forgetting

I have a feeling the D15B7 is equipped with the older throttle body style (firewall mounted MAP sensor instead of on top of the throttle body itself). Pics will help if you could post them.

Not able to take pics of mine at the moment. But this is what I mean. No sensor on this one. Which is d15b7. The y7 has sensor there

That is the older style, I do believe that the flange is the same though so you should be able to swap to the Y7 throttle body.

Which alternator are you using? Refer to the second link I sent you almost halfway down, OBD1 and 2 have different plugs. Also right under that, the CFK is used on OBD2 and not OBD1, which the D15 will be. Secondary O2 sensor plug on all OBD2 vehicles, so you will probably have one for that as well. How many plugs are left now? haha

Sorry for the late reply. There is an extra one up by the o2 sensor you are right. Also I actually got it to fire up tonight so that's good? Its surging on start up now. Between. 1 to 3 grand rpm. I believe am extremely low on coolent will this do that? And I have some hoses that I can't figure out where to connect. Can't anyone send a link to a hose diagram for d15b7? Thanks guys. Was so happy to hear this thing run.

What would you like me to take a picture of if the engine is surging. ? So I can take them. Also, I believe its the bypass line in the back that comes out of the thermo housing. Not sure where that runs too?
