94 civic dx....d15b swap questions
well i just bought my first eg, and unfortunately the stock motor is showing low compression....
has 110 k on it and i relly dont feel like rebuilding cuz its not a very potent engine to begin with
ok so heres my questions....dont tell me to search ive been on here for hours looking and i cant find what i am lookin for
i need to know what i need(a parts list)to do this swap....
obviously the motor itself(d15b vtec from hmotors)
ill get the trans as well
but what ecu do i need??
and as far as wiring goes, from what ive read i can get a vtec subharness from rywire which i will have to wire into the ecu pins, but will plug right into the solenoid on the motor correct??then i just need to wire in the knock sensor??
my stock axles should work,right??
i dunno i am soo pissed i even have to do this and any help pointing me in the right direction will help...i am new to vtec in general, but i am sure with the right direction it shouldnt be a problem....ive found a lot of info on b series v tec swaps, but not on the d15
i need to get everything ready b4 i even start the swap, and need to have it done,up and running in a weekend....thanks in advance i appreciate it

the correct ecu to get is a p08, which is basically a p28 that runs 1wire o2, unless you wanna run a 4wire o2 then just use a p28. all 92-95 axles are the same, the only differance is abs/non abs. as for the knock sensor the D15b doesnt use one so dont worry about that. everything else is pretty much plug and play with the exception of wiring the vtec.

Re: (schardbody)

yep thats all you need. also if your car (i know nothing about the dx) uses a stock 1wire o2 sensor you will have to wire it for 4wire o2, but thats simple. if it uses a stock 4wire then everything is pnp with a p28. also, rywire makes a vtec adapter harness you can check out. http://www.rywire.com
