Car idles perfectly but once it's warm I take it around the block and it has no powere when I punch it and also has no powere when going up hills when I pull the throttle cable it sounds like its ether sucking in too much air or not enough and when I just lightly push the gas it drives fine!? It sounds like something is obstructing your throttle body, check your air intake, filter, and throttle body.

id start to check with fuel pressure and flow, when was the last time you changed your fuel filter? could be plugged?... fuel pump taking a crap, maybe coils arking under load, check cap rotor, all the basic tuneup crap

well im glad to hear it starts to run better, maybe check spark plug gap? if they are undergapped then your not burning all the fuel you need and advancing the timing would allowing a little bit of a longer burn time...idk. how many miles on the thing?

Just verify the timing. And you have a Y7. They are painfully slow. Especially up hills.

The only time a Y7 isn't slow is when you drop if off a cliff.

Distributor. It really helps to list your year, make, model, ecu and any other info like is the check engine light on, have you done a tune up, etc. For VTEC search for "mini me".

Re: 94 civic d16y7 no power help me!!!!

I would start a new thread next time instead of bumping an old thread, thread title should contain important information not just "HELP PLEASE". Also every thread you start should have vehicle and engine information, "94 civic, maual, d16y7.....etc"
