Just finished swapping my GSR cluster into my 99 civic... wasn't sure if it was a 94-97 or 98-up (is there a way to look and tell?)... so I tried fuel in c1 first... didn't work... and i looked at the diagram again and for some reason I could have sworn it said to put it at c8, so i tried that and was pissed when that didn't work. Then I looked over it again and there it was... right there plain as day C3... not C8... lol... oh well, it all works now! Oh yeah, and I repinned my SRS plug. The only cutting i had to do was for the cruise control.
Great Write Up!!!

has anyone tried slightly heating the civic bezel and making it fit the integra cluster? it seems to me that maybe if you heat it enough and pull out slightly on the bottom corners, it might just pull the top and bottom into line with the rest of it... if only it will stay... ?

my fitment isn't terible, but it could be a little better

Yeah, all of my swaps look like this. I haven't tried heating it up, but perhaps you should try.

You can't repin the EG harness for an Integra cluster. The plugs are different and the pins are larger so you can't remove the wires and put them in an Integra plug. You have to cut, match, and connect using Integra or 96-00 Civic plugs.

Check the bulbs and double check the wiring. Never had a problem with my lights.

Wrong thread. But if you have a VAFC, then go to Apexi's website and they have installation instructions with wiring diagram.

Make sure you cut probably around 5 inches of wire left from the Integra harness to allow soldering of wires onto the EG harness.

Each cluster has two main plugs. One is "A" and the other is "B".

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why isn't the JDM Type R cluster compatible with the civic?

Thanks, Great write-up!

Well why won't the JDM cluster work with your diagram? Do you think it would be just as easy to install?

Thanks
