93EG B18B swap problem..

I just picked up a complete 94B18B swap for $1100 from a friends shop..it came out of a wrecked teg but it still ran fine..I actually moved the car off the tow truck into their bay area where they pulled the motor..he couldnt get the passenger side axle out for the world with any of his impact wrenches but got everything else out..in place he gave me a axle that came out of a 96+ civic and i kind of questioned that but he thought it was the exact size and told me to come back if it didnt fit...well i put both axles in today..but the passenger side went in a lil too easy..normally it takes a lil "umph and a dropkick" but i thought i felt it go in and fit good..but now when i start the car up with the clutch in and let go and hit the gas the motor just revs.......i let go of the clutch completely while its in gear and you can hear the flywheel just spinning...so i shut it off immediately....i'm almost positive being the pass side is the power wheel that this axle he gave me won't work with this setup...............just wanted some conformation...thanks in advance
