Default 93 teg question about a swap

Ok this might be covered 1000+X's but I have a chance to get a 93 teg for nothing. I have a 97 civic and was woundering if the b18 will work in my car with the trans it has? I seen somewhere a bracket to convert the cable tranny to hydraulic I think. But Im still not sure 93's came with cable trans? I havent been able to look at the car yet so thats why Im unsure. Also would it be easier to take all the harness out of the teg on use it in my civic so I dont have to repin stuff? Another question will the rear disks work on my civic? Sorry for stupid question Any help would be good, if you dont have any thing helpful please dont flame dumb stuff. TIA

93 Integra is still a cable tranny. Yes you will need a conversion kit.

Don't know for sure about the harness questions, but you will be swapping to OBDI.

Yes the rear brakes will work.

So in your opinion is it worth it to do? I can look for the bracket I thought I seen it in a thread here but who knows what thread it was in. Yes I know its obd1 but will the swapping of the harness be correct and the other stuff still work?

Your best bet would be to get a obd2-obd1 harness, and just go out and buy a hydro tranni elsewhere.

I got a 93 LS swap in my 93. Like ^ he said, sell the tranny, $300 easy, get a hydro tranny and the obd2a-obd1 conversion harness.

If you want to convert to obd2a then you would have to change the Dizzy, Alternator, Injectors and you would have to get a 96-97 p75 ECU.

i just did a 93 b18 swap in my 95 civic...not to bad.. mine was obd1 to obd1, so it was real easy. my friend did a 92 1.8 swap in his 98 civic to months ago, still will idle all day but will not rev up... just die.. i started mine three days ago, and drove it tonight. if you give me exact questions i may have good answers..
