lately my car has been having troubles, at start up it idles really high like 2000 all the way up to 3000 rpms, then cuts in and out, and now yesterday i go to start it, it starts up then stalls out, then i cant start it again for a cpl hours??? i was driving around town today and it jus dies out on me and nwo i cant even get it started back up, i tried like 4 hours after it died adn it started but i hafta keep the rpms around 3000 jus to keep it from dying out<?? i need help asap, if its soemting with head i have a spare one , everythign but dist... please help me and thanks

also, i am not gettin any cel lights

did the rpms jump abruptly(sp?) before? sounds like an ignition problem to me...?

it would go up and down, up and down, cut out almost stall out then go back to normal, usually do it till its warmed up
but now it wont start at all, i checked and got no spark???

alternator, sparkplugs, disturbitor, fuel injectors all okay? does it make a kind of gas leaking sound? if so probably one of your head can be blown....also try unplugging your battery for a few mins and puttin it back in to restart your ecu...dont step on the gas or ne thing while the ecu sets everything......

well it ran fine, and keeps on doing it, so i dont think it is anythign major, like head damage etc. etc. but im gettin a different dist and seeing if taht works, its the engine that cuts out, not the power so i know its not the alt, thanks for the help, any other suggestions
