Default 93 Mini Me D16Z6, Idle Problems

I renently put a D16Z6 head on my D15B7 but now after I got it started it wont idle at a constant RPM, it goes up and down about 1k or so. It was late so we didn't have time to hook the oil pressure, the ground from the soleniod, and the vtec soleniod up before we started it and stuff so could it be that its not all hooked up with the new ECU? But then I also saw about it could be a sensor or a vacumm leak, what do you guys think. Any help would be muc appreciated cus I need my car running right ASAP.

Sounds like a vacuum leak. I assume you used a new intake manifold gasket and cleaned up the mating surfaces well enough?

I doubt it could be a sensor, but it's possible. I think this can happen if your IACV and IAT sensors are miswired, but again, that's unlikely.

If you have a defective ECU, you could get those symptoms, but then you'd also be throwing a code other than those related to your VTEC solenoid (since yours isn't hooked up).

What tests have you done so far? Have you pulled trouble codes from the ECU?

Also, there's no need to bump your thread 21 minutes after you created it...

Sounds like the problem i had with iacv after my mini me swap, make a block plate (unless you want to buy a new iacv)

https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1 scroll half way don first page

I used a lid from a can of sprees, $0.99 fix

Only drawback of doing this is the car will idle really, really low before warming up, but after that it idles fine
