'93 honda civic No Start
I have a 93 honda Civic LX with a 1.6 liter motor. It has a no start issue. It is getting fuel and getting a weak spark. I have tested the igniter and the coil both tested good. when I checked for spark from the coil using my spark tester I got a nice strong spark. I have replaced the cap and rotor and wires. I still have the same issue with the weak spark. I have run out of ideas and am looking for Other thoughts.

Re: '93 honda civic No Start (choppedndropped)
it is a high milage car it has 133K I guess I should have mentioned that orignally I was driving the car and it just died. it would not start after that. I checked the injectors they were not working so I replaced the main relay that got the injectors working again. I have not checked to see how well they are working though. I am stuck on why it is I have a weak spark though the coil seems to be working fine when I test it by it's self but after I put the cap back on I am back to a weak spark I have tried 3 diffrent caps all with the same result.

Might want to replace the plugs too, and check to make sure the plug gaps are correct. after that doesnt help you might want to do a compression check. and you are sure you put the wires back on in the right firing order?

How does the computer know when to have the injectors when to let fuel into the cylinders?

Well the fuel is injected into the throttle body, then from there the fuel is let into the cylinders along with air by the valves.

The computer sends voltage to the injectors thus opening each injector.

the engine is multiport injection. I guess what I was wondering is what sensors tell the computer where the pistons are so it knows which injector to open

i would check your ground to your battery and also the ones that lead from your frame to your tranny and there is another ground from radiator support to your head. if they are corroded it will not give a good spark. happened to me. just unbolt each one and clean them with a wire brush.

Hey my bad, but the injectors don't inject it directly into the cylinders the valve opens letting the fuel in, the valve opens at specific times depending on the cam.
