Default 93 hatch, TEIN Flex

ok so im trying to raise my car for my brake and light inspection tomm. I have already taken care of the front BUT the rear coilovers will not move at all..


the bottom cuppling or wtf ever it is called will not move and i cannot spin the center part to raise it up. help me please. i am in kind of a hurry :/

I believe your're suppose to loosen the lower locking collar, then rotate the lower mount free from the lca to raise it up. Once you are done, you lock the collar back into place.

yeah but it wont unlock. it effing stuck on both sides. i used a rubber mallet, did not work. i used the tool they give you to try and spin it but the whole assembly wants to move with it.

brute force, what i had to use on my em1 when i lowered it a lil more. i could get them to budge, so i put a cheater pipe on and cranked on it! make sure u spray some pb blaster first tho

Yeah, make sure you leave it installed to the lower control arm when you are trying to loosen it. use the TEIN adjuster wrench and a mallet. maybe clean the threads of the body a bit with some cleaner and spray a little WD40 on top of the collar. and just hammer it hard! juts to break it loose. Oh, make sure your actually spinning it in the correct direction!

so i just finnished. its not perfect but hopefully its good enough to pass. it should be high enough, i can actually fit a floor jack under the car now. thanks for the help guys.
