93 GSR civic hatch over heating.
Hey Honda heads i need help.
I have a 93 Gsr Hatch with an over heating issue. what i have replace with in the week.
1. Heat hoses
2. Radiator hoses
3. Thermostat and coolant temp sensor
4. radiator.
the fan works every time. i put anti freeze not the 50/50 kind. i know the water pump is fairly new and head gasket has been replace. I can't tell if the water pump is working or not need help but i know the book said that it makes a howling sound when is running. But does this mean at idle or when revving. But i know there is no howling noise or leaks from the water pump. what seems to be the problem pls. help me

Have you bled the cooling system like this:
This may take 20-30 minutes.
1) Park the car on an inclined driveway with the front end higher than the rear.
2) Push the dash heater lever/**** to MAX heat.
3) Follow the directions in the diagram below (hint: the bleed bolt is located where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine):

let the engine cool and take the rad cap off, turn the car on and look into the radiator to see if the coolant is flowing. thats how i was told to check if the water pump is good..
any smoke out of the exhaust? is your coolant res. steaming?

this motor doesn't have the bleeding valve the 98 gsr motor doesn't come with it. how do you know if the water pump is not working or not

The bleeding procedure is the same without the bleed bolt. Just ignore that step.
With the radiator cap off, do you see the coolant circulate? If so, the water pump is moving the coolant.

i tried that already that's what the Hayes Repair guide said to do after you replace the thermostat. and i think i see it circulate but sometimes the radiator cap off it over flows alittle when i bled the car.
