93 ex sedan - what muffler for "tame" (not loud) exhaust?
For about 50-100$ Looking for something that's "okay" not super cheap, super duper cheap, china stuff.
My muffler fell off a while ago and I desperately need to replace it. The car is pretty damn stock besides OEM-style replacement parts here and there and everywhere. 93 eh9 civic ex sedan 1.6 d16z6
previously it was replaced by universal parts store crap, the sheet metal literally tore up, the welds held lil bits of the muffler. What I'm saying is the parts store universals suck alot! And for 75$ its a complete rip off.
what's a decent brand for a muffler thats pretty okay and noone would call it "loud".
TLDR: budget is like 50-100$, trying to avoid generic parts store universals and also loud and or ricer stuff.
searched google and eBay all I could find is crappy ricer stuff. Looking for something that's "okay" not super cheap, super duper cheap, china stuff. For like 50$

I will check that out and see how they sound. I feel sorta dumb wanting a tone that is nice while also not loud without spending alot of money. I would totally settle for universal generics except that the quality is **** poor

I remember "ES OVAL" seemed to be all the rage a few years ago. Or you can luck out on an old TRUST/GReddy SP or HKS Sport muffler on craigslist. It happens. I've even found an old 5Zigen muffler for under a $100.

Anyone else got a brand preference for cheap better quality mufflers? I have access to some nice ones but they're loud as **** so its a no go
gonna look on YouTube later see how loud they all are and hoe they sound and do a cost-benefit analysis

I currently have this muffler (just threw a paint job on it) and it's a nice quite sound. http://www.ebay.com/itm/310874137377?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Jones exhaust, available at Summit Racing. Made in America. Equal or better quality than Magniflow. Not loud if you have a resonator and converter. I put an 18" long universal oval on my EJ6 sedan. I got it for 2.5" tubing along with a universal resonator for around $80 shipped. Magniflow is almost double that.
