Default 93 DX, Tach Good, Speedo Bad.....

Wassup,

As the title says93 DX Manual. Tach is running fine, but speedo isn't. If I hit a bump hard then the speedo bounces and sometimes stays on. Eventually it dies. The VSS has to be good because the Tach is running. I checked the connections and cleaned them. What possibly could it be?

Thanks for any help.

The tach receives its signal from the igniter inside the dizzy...so they're separate. Try another VSS or one from a friend's working car.

GL!

But why is it when I take the VSS out, or when it was damaged, the Tach does not Spin?
