93 delsol s (Im new here!)
Well I just picked up a 93 delsol s with a d15b7! I want to know want swaps I can do for this car with out to much trouble? I know if I want VTEC I have to do some wireing thats not a prob. Now is the car a obd-1 or 2 and what motors will fit (b16a1-2-3) Id like a b18 for the toque so what year and make is the best? Im trying make this as easy as possable for me cause Im on my own here. Id really hate to be halfway through the swap and then realise I baught the wrong motor! Thanks for your help, Erik

your car is an obd1 ecu setup and can accept any motor you want of the b series b16, b18c, b18a/b; along with the h22 with a mounting kit. good luck and nice to see another sol on the board.

Re: 93 delsol s (delslow94)
So if I were to buy a b16a first gen would that work? or does it have to be 2nd gen? Im alittle lost here on this whole motor swap thing. Will any of the D motor parts/sensors work on the B motor?(I bet not) So when I buy this motor will I want a compleat swap or can I peice one together over time? Im seeing all these JDMmotor sites on the web and its really makeing me nuts! Im trying to go a little cheap here but I guess this addication wont let me do that.

I would not get the 1st gen b16. That is non-obd (obd0) and would cost you a nightmare to get it hooked up.
Even though it's cheaper for the motor itself, it'll end up costing you more than just buying a 2nd gen B16 to get it running when converting to OBD1.
You don't need to worry about taking the sensors from the D series and putting on the B series; as the B series you get will have all the sensors (or should) dependin gon who you buy it from.
You may piece it together over time by purchasing the long block, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, tranny, ecu, axles, etc. But I would highly recommend you just save up or get cash to buy the whole swap at once.
Just save up for the total swap and purchase it all at once.
As for the best swaps, any B series will work, or H series/F series with a mount kit.
good luck.

Re: 93 delsol s (poison)
are you going to be doing the swap yourself? if someone else is doing it for you...go to http://www.hmotorsonline.com and find a motor that you can afford...

Re: 93 delsol s (Phastnphun)
do you even have the first clue about swapping motors...you dont sound like you should be attempting a swap by yourself...if u have to ask which motor to get
i'm gonna say again...go to Hmotorsonline and find a motor that you want and have someone install it for you

Re: 93 delsol s (Phastnphun)
theres alot more to just putting a vtec head on a ls block..... putting any vtec head on a non-vtec block is a straight mission..... and if thats your everyday driver... make sure you do it right..... or get it done right..... do a search...... its not easy... my conversion took me 2 weeks...... im really lazy.... and i kept getting drunk for some odd reason..... do a search my friend.... magazines dont do much good.... they will just make you a ricer.......
