93 del sol z6 to y8 head swap questions
I feel like a total noob, but I need some help. I have a 93 del sol with a d16z6 motor that a guy wants me to install a y8 head on. I know there is bolt differences that ARP makes a kit for, but I am more concerned about what dizzy to use and will vtec still work. If i have to get a new dizzy which one should I get and what harness do I need in order to still use the obd 1 ecu and wiring harness. And do I have to do something extra with the vtec. I understand to keep the y8 cam gear on the y8 head because of the 4.5 degree timing differnce, but I am still a little unsure as to that as well. Anyways if anyone can tell me what I need in order to make the y8 head run on the z6 block I would greatly appreciate it. Also if I am missing anything please tell me, yell at me, whatever works. DERP

Thank you I have all the info I need, or so I think. One last question. What is my best route as far as dizzys go. I am thinking about telling him to purchase a y8 dizzy and the 2-1 conversion harness/plug? Or is there another option that allows me to bolt an obd 1 dizzy on it with out having to make any other changes?
