93 Del sol Targa top Leak Please help
Hello i have been having an issue with my Targa Top keeps Leaking on me. i Recently bought a new 72320-SR2-043
Genuine Honda WEATHERSTRIP, FR. PILLAR.... Figured this would fix my water issue but as i tested it with a hose the water kept coming in... sigh... i notice that there is still a gap between the Fr. Pillar and the weather stip from the actual targa top. and was wondering if i should just buy new weather strips for the targa top... i have also read something about tightning the targa top but have no idea on how to do this if someone can plz help me i would rather try to tighten the top and see if it makes a better seal then buy new seals and still have to tighten the top ty again plz help hurricane season is coming and im tired of having to get inside my sol and my seats are wet and funky smell...

I have the same issue, but I know in the later years they changed the seal's design so that it didn't leak. Mine is a 93, and my friend had a 97 and his never ever leaked. The 97 had "runners" or whatever you want to call them that ran all the way up the pillar, but mine didn't. So my best advice is to get seals from a 97 del sol instead.

changed in the weather strips and still get leaks...... all genuine honda parts and sadly im still getting water in thru the passenger side.... its not where the window hits the rubber but more so where the targa top connects with the rubber i put some water on the connection where the targa top is aligned with the rubber and then the water just makes its way in... well hopefully i dont get too much rain and by end of year buy me a new car no point in putting money into a car that continues to leak ..... would not suggest this car to anyone, i can see why it was discontinued

i would try another targa top cause the top is make of aluminum which over time could probably warp due to chasis flex its worth a shot anyway since all else has failed

You need to change the Seals on the A and B pillar as well as the ones on the roof for it to stop leaking. Check the bulletin 'dad2bike' quotes:
