93 Del Sol roof still leaking after new seals
So i'm at a loss and don't know what to do anymore. Bought my Sol last year for cheap as a project car and for gas mileage since my truck gets horrible gas mileage. After buying it I noticed two bad leaks on each side where the triangle glass meets the pillar/roof. Everything I read was to get all new weatherstripping to fix the problem. Gritted my teeth, bought it and had it professionally installed. Still leaks. What can I do?

Has the car been in an accident? I hear this can cause them not to seal.

This is how I fixed mine roll the window down . Pull the triangler piece inward and it will stop the leaking . Also check the target top latching points they maybe worn out not putting enough bind on it.

Do you ever take off the top? If not then you can probably foam it but remember that ot will stop the leak and you wont be able to take the top off

put some washers under the roof latch part on the body side and they will sit a bit lower and force the seal tighter works for me and I have a fairly badly damaged seal stays dry except when it really really pours
takes a bit of trim removal and unbolting and what not but you only need to do it once

Well, I pulled on the triangle glass to move it in to create a better seal. It helped out a lot. Barely any leaking now. I think this coming weekend when I have time I am going to adjust my doors up and hopefully that completely fixes the problem. Thank you all for your insight!

Re: 93 Del Sol roof still leaking after new seals
Hi all,
I got new Weatherstrips from Majestic for both sides of the roof and my shop guy installed them for me. I watched him while he was doing it and saw that there was an adhesive strip on them and that the install was fairly easy when you have the right tools. I now bought the large front pillar weatherstrip that goes from door to door and am wondering if I can install that myself, and if there is an adhesive strip on that seal too or if I need some additional sealant or glue and if so what type and where to get it.
Thanks for your feedback.
Rita
