Default 93 Del Sol Engine/Tranny - trying to get everything back to OEM

Hey everyone, I just bought a 93 Si and I'm trying to get everything back to OEM and the way it should be.

I have a S20 tranny that looks like it was put in not too long ago and was wondering if that came stock with the D16Z6?

Alright. I have an s20 in there right now. Is it normal, with that trans, that I can see the flywheel when laying under the car? It's almost as if the housing bigger than the p20?

Er no. You're probably missing the inspection cover.

Hm, ok. Pardon me if I'm asking dumb questions, this is my first Honda, I've always had Nissans. I'll take a picture of it tomorrow when it's daylight outside just to be sure.

And finally, I get a little bit of a grinding noise with it. I'm trying to rule out if it's a pilot/release bearing in my clutch or it's coming from the trans (I've read a few other threads/forums where the owners experience grinding with the s20): It makes a chatter when idling (clutch pedal up, goes away when down), then it'll make a grinding noise in 1st/2nd/a little in 3rd when accelerating normally (no noise with heavy accelerations). Any ideas?

Didn't imply you were asking dumb questions.

Grinding? Is common. Exactly when do you experience the chattering?

Also, what about the car is not OEM that you need to revert?

I know, just pardoning myself if it ever comes across as that.

Out of curiosity, what causes the grinding? I find that the grinding noise is intermittent, which I find odd. The chattering (also a little squeaking) happens when it's in neutral and my foot is off the clutch pedal. As soon as I press down on it, the noise stops. I'm not sure though if the noise happens even when in gear but it just gets drowned out by engine noise.

As far as bringing back to OEM, it isn't anything too major (other than these noises). I have to wire up the VTEC solenoid to the ecu because there are no wires there currently, fix the speedometer since it'll read 5mph when I'm actually going about 50mph (might just have to change the cluster, already changed the speed sensor), install an A/C compressor, I fixed the common trunk leak already, eventually change the weatherstripping because of the common leaks (I do the silicone spray trick for the time being).
