93' D16z6 - Mini Me crap questions
I've read these mini me swaps and all that, and the biggest question that not a lot of people had said much about is the VTEC. What can i do to help out the VTEC so i can actually hear it haha. Is there anything besides the VAFC and a cam? If theres any secret please tell me. What parts (head wise) will fit from a 96-98 onto my 92-95 head or really any D series that will make improvements in any aspect. Thanks.

You're an idiot.
VTEC "screams" on a DOHC because both the intake cam and the exhaust cam changes profiles when it hits VTEC. With a SOHC, only the intake cam changes profile, so the sound is barely there. An engine's sound comes mainly from...guess what...the EXHAUST (gases leaving the cylinder head), so when cam profile for the exhaust valves doesn't change, you're not gonna get the "screaming" effect that you desire. Go buy a B16.
P.S. Advancing cam timing severly detracts from the high-end performance. Did you know that?

Leave it at stock. Retarding it suffers low end, advancing suffers high end. Go to a dyno.

They run low 16's. Thats not an accomplishment.

Re: (HondaVTEC93)
It will fit but you will have to do a few things to the manifold to make it work.. eg there are some extra stuff that the d16z6 won't use.
