Default '93 d15b7 hatchie

ok ive had few diff hondas all for looks i just got a '93 hatch d15b7 i wanna boost ive been researching alot on it i wana use it for a dd some while i do some things to my other vehicle. the car had a rod knocking a lil and a blew head gasket i have it completly tore down at moment.the crank probably needs turned/new one my question is how much hp will a stock one hold? i wana do a swap eventually but for now thinking about vitara set-up or should i just go back basic stock? please give me some info or advice never did anything like this to a honda

I've heard of stock cranks handling 800+. Get a replacement, have your block line honed, and stick with it. Vitara is personal and tuner preference. It's all about the tune.

another question i have is ive read that the d15 rods put the vitaras .05 over the deck can i get that to clear with gasket or do i have to buy custom rods? never built honda motor so sorry for being a noob

Running Vitaras without forged rods is pointless to begin with - your rods are going to give out well before your pistons do. There are companies out there that make rod/piston combos specifically for your motor that you should be looking into.

Generally, individual parts ability to handle major power adders goes like this. Rods > sleeves = pistons > valvetrain > transmission > crank.
