'93 CivicEX - Major CEL Dilemma - Please help
Hi all,
New to this forum and hope I can get some good advice here...
I have a CEL on and have been having the hardest time getting the codes pulled from mechanics. Yes, I know, OBD-1...looked for the "plug" to jump the wires..couldn't find it...lately have been getting bad gas mileage (btw - what is the usual highway gas mileage on a '93 civic??)...anyway, finally found a mechanic who removed the cigarette lighter and read a code, "P0153". Isn't that code a OBDII code?? I was told it was the Oxygen sensor and had it replaced..mechanic even pulled out the battery lead wires and guess what, the CEL light still came back on. Lastly, there have also been conflicts as to how many oxygen sensors are on this car. The majority have said 1 and that's what I had replaced.
Any and all suggestions are welcome and greatly appreciated,
