That should read VTEC. No H. Its a valve timing feature, not a phone.
Just helping you out... better now than getting flamed in every thread you make.
Another thing... you wont be smoking ALL SOHC VTEC equipped cars.

JDM B16 motors do not have numbers at the end. they're all B16A.
in the U.S. they have numbers. examples...
94-95 Del Sol VTEC - B16A3
96-97 Del Sol VTEC - B16A2
99-00 Del Sol VTEC - B16A2
as for the thread starter, honda motors...
86-91 are pre-OBD or OBD0
92-95 are OBD1
96+ are OBD2.
to check what year your motor is, check here on your motor...
the year of a car could be a year up because of the production date/year.
example... if the motors shows 9|4 (meaning 1994), the car could have been a 1995.
i think 88-91 B16A's are SiR I's, and 92+ are SiR II's. somebody fix that if needed.

That's a first for me! Since they only made the Del Sol in 93-97
But it is a b16a SIR1 or a B16a SIR2
If your intake manifolf has some writting on it like PGM-FI than its a B16a SIR1 if it doesn't have an after market intake on it. But if it doesn't its more than likely a SIR2

Thank you for pointing that out about not beating all sohc's. I was going to say come over here and race my little boosted sohc. Maybe that will change your mind.

Re: 93 civic w/ b16a????swap (civictech22)
your car is rated 160 hp at the flywheel from the factory, that is not a wheel horsepower rating, most b16's put down about 130-140....nothing bad about that, after all it is only a 4 cylinder right?
