Default 93 civic vx, motor is bogging

any help is appreciated, i got a stock 93 civic vx, all it has is a generic intake i got from a friend. im not sure if the motor has been bogging every since i put the intake on. the intake is also drastically bigger than the throttle body. think its my intake or something else that makes my motor bog? bogging=slow throttle response, when i step on the gas, it will pause, jerk, and then go.

Change your spark plugs.

i have a 92 VX... i posted the same question in a similar thread b/c mine's doin in too... everyone said it's just the way the VX is.... basically because of the VTEC-E swirl function, i believe... however, plugs/wires won't help... i'm gonna try the exhaust manifold and intake manifold, see if that works, but it doesn't look too good....

hmm, whoever said that isn't too bright. if you press the gas, the car should go even if its slow, it shouldn't bog then go. i would think its the plugs, after all i dont know the last time they were changed

are you familiar with vtec-e? I understand your point, but it seems to be the cars equiped with vtec-e that do this regularly...
