Default 93 civic starter problems ?

i have a 93 civic thats stock, i`m having trouble when trying to start it . it takes 3-4 turning the key for it to start coud it be the ignition or the clutch peddle switch. i don`t think the starter cause my 91 civic has a bad starter and does not have the same sypmtoms (like beating on it with a metal pipe and having to get it push started) thanks

like it turns over 3-4 times before firing up??

or like you turn the key to start and nothing but maybe a click 3-4 times before it turns over and starts??

metal pipe beatings and rainy days are what cause me to install a pull start on a 91 lx. it was priceless

Did you find out what the problem was because my 93 civic suffers from the same ailment?
