Default 93 Civic Si/B16a swap - Running rich and engine rpms rise but no acceleration

so i take my car to the shop. I tell them it runs rich low idle.
93 si
b16a obd1 no mods but intake has right ecu etc.. trying to make bard
I take it in and they tell me my tps sensor is bad causing low idle, so i say ok ill just replace it myself. They also mention they will need another 1/2 for further diagnos on why its running rich, but i tell them no its ok ill just replace the sensor and bring it back when i have the money . So i drive my car and i swearrrr once i stepped on the gas my rpm's just climb and my car doesnt get on it anymore . I mean my car used to get on it like good response. Now its just hella slow it doesnt get on it.
So i tell them my car lags it and my rpm's just climb they told me they adjusted the fpr would that cause for this to happen??
They said just disconnect it i mean how ? do i even do that would this cause this help please! just so frustrated that my car doesnt run right anymore.

Is your's aftermarket? Take it back and tell them to put it back to stock settings even though I don't see how it's possible that the FPR is responsible.

FPR. The stock ones aren't adjustable. They aren't on teh D-series anyway.

Pull the vacuum hose off so it would run like it was at WOT.

Are you getting CEL's? The TPS typically with throw a CEL. The FPR is not adjustable do you have an aftermarket one?

Then they lied to you. They could not have possibly adjusted the FPR. They mucked up something else.

Thats what i said.
So i go and take it back this morning. Tell them i want it back to it was before.
He advances my timing and i get back in my car and it picks up good but still has the very low idle i will replace the tps sensor .
Also they said it maxed out the smog machine because it was running so rich. but once he said "we put the timing on spec" it was 400 more closer to passing emissions, but my car ran like crap when they changed the timing im very stumbled. Could it really be that a tps sensor would take it so far off spec.

Seems ok because they advanced the timing.

A few things to make it run rich

Might need new plugs.

Bad FPR

Bad ECT sensor.

Bad O2 sensor.

just getting back to this after a while, none of those things was the cause for my car to run so rich
i took it to a reliable shop and they found that the o ring was missing from my map sensor so it was causing alot of vacuum hence to send more fuel
