heyy guys i have a 1993 honda civic si hatch with the all beloved d16z6 motor after i let my car run for a while say like an hr it will start to idle really low like 1,000 or lower RPM's now with this said when i do let it idle or when ever i down shift or just when the rmps drop the oil light with come on but when i give it gas and the rpms go up then the light will go off? i dont get whats going on the only code that is showing up is 43 wich is an O2 sonser which i do know mine is starting to go out but i am really worried about this oil problem so plz any help would be amazing and if not thinks for looking guys

Is your oil low? If the oil is low it will throw an oil light, also if there is low oil pressure then the light will come one.

Low oil level, oil pump failing, bad sending unit or bad connection between the sending unit or the light.

the oil level is fine and i have the sending unit zip tied and taped so i dont think its that either so then it might be my oil pump because people keep telling me it might be the presure so i should go that rute?

Check everything over, it does not hurt to have the peace of mind that all possible issues could be checked for fault.

try changing your oil filter first.
