93 civic lx setup help, exhaust, coilovers, etc FIRST CAR!!!
Hello friends, I was recently given a 93 civic lx, I wanted to know what catback exhaust system, catalytic converter, header, and coilovers would be good. The quality of the goods comes before the price in my book, id rather buy good quality parts. Well im new to the honda ownership life but already love it, I look forward to hearing what you experienced honda dudes have to say!

1) This is a tech section, not a help me build my car / what parts section
2) Building your dream car 101: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/building-your-dream-car-101-a-3102979/
3) Since you're new, also check out Dseries and ClubCivic.
4) Before you do any modifications, give it a proper tuneup so you have everything reliable, and all service intervals reset to your time of ownership.
5) It's your car, you don't have to listen to anybody on what to do to it. If it makes you happy, then go with it.
Start off with the FAQ on the top of the section. There's so many threads that you should look at
Learn to use the search function (I prefer to use Google)
On google, to narrow results specifically to Honda-tech:
site:Honda-tech.com ______
Spend some time researching, there's thousands of threads out there with the same question as you (it's a daily thing here) and there are already answers on those said threads. Here's the general answer you'll get from them:
Catback Exhaust system: Youtube, sift through videos and find the exhaust you find sounds the best to you. Don't be expecting power gains from them, so just get the one you prefer. note: When looking for catbacks, 92-95 Civic sedans & coupes (4drs/2drs) have the same catback piping (undercarriage) as 96-00 sedans & coupes (4drs/2drs) *correct me if i'm wrong*
Catalytic converter - if it's necessary in your state and is required by the law, just get a universal high flow that fits your piping.
Header - If you want to stay cheap and reliable, get an OEM header off a 92-95 or 96-00 EX. Otherwise, bite the bullet with Ebay brands, or get proper aftermarket headers.
note: an exhaust system is basically sound to a Civic, so you're just paying for sound and the reliability that it'll maintain that sound for years.
Coilovers - Progress CSII or Koni Shocks paired with Ground Control coil sleeves.

Nice of CO671 for that helpful post.
but OP you're heavily wasting your money dumping it into a SOHC D engine....for the price of good coils and an exhaust system you'll be a few hindered off a B-series engine. boost it or swap it....
