93 civic ex wont start (at wits end)
Hello I have a 93 civic ex coupe. Problem I have is the car will not start after it sets over night and only when its 40 degress or below outside. Once it starts its find all day, no matter how cold. So i started to replace everything I found online that could be wrong. fuel pump replaced, installed complete MSD ignition 6al with blaster 2 coil. replaced ecu with same one (p28). I smell gas when trying to start it, and I have great spark. I hear the fuel pump. but it doesnt start. does even try to start. After about 15-30 minutes of trying to get it to start it does. after that car runs great, and has no problems starting until the next morning. (good one for ya) took it the the honda dealership, day 2 they have had it, they call me to tell me its the battery. (really) the car turns for over 3 to 4 mins before it dies then i get out the battery charger 225amps start mode and i still fight with it for 10-15 min after that. WEEEEEEEE. But after it starts i use the same battery to start it all day. ANy help would be nice. thanks steve

No I didnt check them, The smell of fuel is the fuel coming back through the intake. But the dealer called me this morning and said it might be the water temp sensor. Any one herd of this? We will find out in the morning.

Well after getting my civic back from the dealer, its was the water temp sensor, so 229.00 later I have my car back. WEEEE Oh but on the way home the at 85 MPH the hood came up. Bye bye hood, windshield, sunroof. great wake up call. Put new hood and windshield in, bye, bye civic. Sold. Back in the 92 si prelude with h22a4 swap, I really missed this car.
