YOu haven't given anywhere near enough info. When was the last time it had a real tune up? Checked timing? What happens when it hits 2k?

Just bought the car changed plugs wires fuel filter. Haven't checked timing and when it hits 2k it just won't go anymore feels like a limiter but there is no cel on so I no it's not in limp mode thinking it may be a sensor somewhere but not sure thank you

Have you made sure the check engine light works properly? Maybe you should look st the ECU also to make sure you've got the correct unit a p28

Bought the car and the crankshaft pulley was broken and didn't wanna start it then I fixed that and now won't go beyond 2k. The cel light works. Also the ecu is a p28 thanks

There are a lot of 1.6L SOHC's out there. Exactly which one is it? Is the ECU stock, or has it been chipped? Since you just bought the car, do you know these things as fact, or are you assuming?
Check your ignition timing.

There's a stamp on the engine next to the exhaust manifold. Tell us exactly what it says.
take the ECU out, open it, look for burnt out stuff and look if the space to put a chip is missing or if there is a chip there.

You should check all the wire ground connections and also make sure every connector is clean and attached tightly.
might be worth picking up some electrical connector cleaner to do this
