Default 93 civic EX 4 dr. Need help

I have a 93 civic 4dr EX... What engine is in my car(code, D15Z, I thought but I wasn't sure). Also, what horsepower do I have. Finally Under the heat sheild where My headers go under the block I can hear the air escaping Haven't taken the sheild off to check. Is this really bad? Does this mean I need a new head gasket?

Thanks

Ty

NO! Your head gasket is the gasket between the head and the block...if your block was covered in oil and ur car kept overheating that would mean that you need a new head gasket...your problem could be a number of things, if you had an exhaust leak you wouldnt hear air you'd hear a loud *** exhaust leak....i'm guessing a hose leak somewhere, possibly AC?...someone else feel free to add...

definitely not your head gasket, just an exhaust leak. and for the motor, i have an LX and it had the d15b7. i was under the impression that the EX actually had a 1.6 in it?

edit: ok BauleyCivic beat me to this ishnit
