93 civic dx overheating problems

ok so my car has a brand new radiator, fairly new t belt and water pump, radiator cap and thermostat. it doesn't leak any coolant at all but it seems to be eating it. can the intake manifold gasket break and leak coolant in through the mani runners? the symptoms sounded like a blown head gasket but taking out the spark plugs the pistons still look carbon coated and not clean with a normal head gasket blowing. also there is no water in the oil. and there doesnt appear to have any oil in the water. it feels like the system is builing up way to much pressure. and the lower radiator doens't seem to want to get hot like the thermostat isn't opening but i wanna know where the coolant is going. could it just be a faulty thermostat and cap?

Sounds like it could be a faulty thermostat.. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emdgust.gif

Do your hoses collapse after the car cools down completely, if so, you have a faulty rad cap, replace it. Make sure your overflow bottle is not cracked and the cap is on securely.

Even after the car has been running all day, it should take a little effort to squeeze the hoses enough for the rad cap to blow off.

On the highway the thermostat should not be fully open, in town is really the only time that the lower hose should be as hot as the upper is with in town driving/idle.

The thermostat is supposed to have a peter valve in it, so even if it is completely closed, coolant can still flow through it.

Are you blowing coolant odored exhaust out the tail end?

Hey, I have the same car same problem, mine got so hot yesterday that it melted the rubber inside the radiator cap. does your car start up kind of ruff or blow alot of white smoke out the back that smells like coolant cause mine does and i have no idea whats wrong. I've replaced the water pump, T belt, rad cap and the head gasket.
