93 Civic DX - Acceleration Issue
Not sure how to exactly describe this. 93 Civic DX 5-speed. As I accelerate from a stop, if I press down on the gas the way I normally would, not flooring it, but not babying it, the engine seems to hesitate--like it's either not getting enough gas or getting too much. If I let up on the gas, the power picks up and then I can accelerate---until the next gear. More noticeable in 1st and 2nd than 3rd and 4th. Hot or cold engine doesn't seem to matter, though the cold weather seems to have helped marginally.
Thoughts about what I should be checking out?
Thanks.

re: 93 Civic DX - Acceleration Issue
Just set the timing, adjusted valves, and replaced the plugs a week or so ago.
Replaced entire throttle body (not a new part) to correct a wandering idle.
But was having the acceleration issue before all that.
Didn't pull CEL codes.
