Default 93 Civic CX Hatchback Motor swap???'s

I am new to the honda scene, but I own a 93 civic cx hatch, and i also have a 90 integra gs...the integra is "totalled" and not repairable, but the motor runs great and only has 90k on it...would it be possible to swap the motor and tranny from the teg into the civic???? if so how would i want to buy a kit to adapt the cable tranny or should i just try to swap the whole cable system from the teg.

or should i just not waste my time and either sell the teg as a whole or part it out and try to get my hands on a diff motor...I really dont care what it is as long as it has decent power and runs....as the hatch is immobile right now with no comp in one cyl of its 1.5l powerplant

This is a question for hybrid forum. You really should get all this info from there.
That swap would work, but I think you are going to need a kit from HAsport for that cable tranny. It's not a bad swap. You'll have more power than the motor that is already in there. The teg motor has 90k miles, that is very good in my opinion. You can swap that motor and go from there with it.

You've got a 1.8 compared to the stock 1.5 of that CX. You have a lot more torque and your horsepower is nowhere near the 1.8. You have the lightest of the EH civics so you won't be disappointed with your results. If you pursue this, I wish you the best of luck on the swap.

It is illegal. You can't swap in a motor that is older than your chassis. Sorry bud!

Sell your motor and take the cash and save up to get a B18C1 and enjoy a stock motor that's quick and as reliable as a stock honda.

This is my opinion, you shouldn't go for the b16b. B18C1 is a better choice. That is a known topic(B16BvsB18C1). I really don't want to start that up again. Save your money and build that B18A. You can get some really good numbers from it. But this is just my opinion, it's your money.

man i love how everyone likes b18c1's over the b16b it makes them more rare and i want one more than ever so i can show you all a b16b is cool to have.

dont get what everyone else tells you to get get what you want or like
i like b16a's and the b16b my eg has a sirII in it and my ek will have a b16b its all personal preferance and they are helping you because the b18c1 is a good motor but my b16a smokes c1's with ease its just waht you like as a individule(sp)

Yea, ditto... do whatever makes you happy man. You are the one that has to drive the car around not us. It's all about preference. If you like torque then I would recommend a b18C. If you want to be a screamer then a b16 is the way to go. Just my advice. But do what makes you happy!
