Alright guys here's my problem. I've got a 93 dx with a z6 swap, built boosted. It only has about 6k miles on it. I've been having a problem with it not wanting to start on occasion, usually after driving awhile or when it was hot out. So I assumed it was the main relay so replaced it and still same thing. It's gotten worse to where it wouldnt start back up after just a 5 minute drive. After working on it all day swapping parts, my buddy came over we tried again and it fired up, he said he just squeezed the return fuel line. So I replaced the fpr and return hose. Started that night, and the following morning, drove to work normal. Just out of curiosity I tried to start it like ten minutes later and no go, same thing just cranks. Worked all day, fired right up when I got off. Now I can't get it to start again. Any help would be greatly appriciated.

Have you checked all your fuses, grounds and battery cables? Almost sounds like you have a bad coil/icm in the distributor. If you have an extra dizzy try swapping it on there and see what happens.

All fuses are good, ill go back through the grounds just to be certain. Battery cables are good, swapped dizzy and plug wires to buddys car and his fired right up and put his on mine, still no start. We swapped relays, dizzys, maps, ecus and no luck

Everytime its not started it still just cranks with jumper cables hooked up, but it'll roll start and run normal till I shut it off again, then same thing...

Can you hear the solenoid in the starter click when you try to start?

Pretty sure yea, we even arked the starter to see if maybe it was the ignition but I don't know how accurate that is...it cranks like normal just doesn't fire up..

Check fuel pump,could be going bad.replace it with a new one there cheap and easy to do.

Can hear the pump prime, its prettu loud considering its a brand new 255

I believe you said it was boosted?
Have you had this problem only after the boost build? May be something you swapped while building.
Did you make sure that all of your injectors are working all the time? Be sure to check the resistance over the injectors.
Also, check all the vacuums on your boost system, sometimes this can cause it to not start.
When it runs is it running normally?

Yea it was boosted before but a whole different setup, stock b7 now its fully built z6. The injectors are good, and I went through all the vacuum lines and didn't see anything out of place.. After swapping dizzys and having no affect I didn't think it was that, but I double checked today and found that the rotor button screw was not there and the carbon spring is bent all out of shape. I put a screw in the button and did what I could with the spring but noticed my spark as decreased to almost nothing. Although my dizzy is new and I was getting good spark before, I'm starting think that's where my problem is.. Thanks for the input, ill be sure to keep everyone posted, thanks again...

Ok so this sucker starts with a roll/push start but not via the starter???

Try this - roll it and but use the starter while its rolling. (I don't have an answer but it's more data for the equation.)

Ok soo just tried to start it this morning and it fired up first try, drove it around the block. Shut it off and now back to just cranking.

have you messed with the timing at all? try checking that just in case.

Good spark + engine cranking = fuel issue most likely.

Was the main relay you put in brand new or from a junkyard?
