93 Civic 1.6 - No Start No Fuel Pressure No Spark
The Main Relay is good. Fuel Pump is Good as I can hear it priming when I jump #1 and #5 on the Main Relay. New distributor with new ignition module and coil inside. Check engine light stays on with key in ON position but I can't pull any codes from it. I want to say it's the ECU as I am not getting any reference voltage to MAP or TPS grounded off the Thermostat housing with Key in ON position- But I'm told that it's a rarity that the ECU ever goes bad less it was exposed to the elements which I don't think it has. I'm working on getting a known-working ECU in my hands to make sure it isn't the ECU but in the mean time, is there any other tests that can tell me that this isn't just some short or crossed wire that's making the ECU look bad? Or should I just keep tracing wires in an attempt at finding a hypothetical needle in a hay stack?

I think you mean that you jumped 1-7. Did you try jumping 5-7 with the key in ON(II)?
Check for a blown 15A dash fuse 24 and also clean and tighten the ground wire on the thermostat housing.

Sorry. Yah. I meant both #1-#7 AND #5-#7. I jumped both and was able to get the fuel pump to kick on each time with the key in the ON position. I had also cleaned that ground connection off the thermostat housing before I tested the MAP and TPS for reference voltages off of that ground. No luck yet.
I also had checked all the fuses under the dash and the hood- one of the first things I had done before replacing the entire distributor and main relay and all had checked out good then. I'll check again tomorrow when I get a chance. I've been testing the fuses with a test light to ground. Is this a reliable tool?

Damn. Was making sure that new distributor was doing it's job and double checking those fuses under the hood and .... started to smell something burning when I had the key on while checking for a burnt fuse under the dash. I already knew in the back of my mind what it was. I pulled the ECU out and took the cover off to find a huge burn spot the size of my thumb on some capacitor or resistor behind the middle plug. I'm wondering why it decided to show it's ugly face now. I hope there isn't an underlying issue that caused it to start burning up. Any words of wisdom to ease my nerves before I put a working ECU in? I don't want to burn up another one.
