Icon3 92 VX z1/z6 Mini Me

Hey HT. I've been doing a lot of searching the past couple days on this setup and people are saying its not viable because of the low compression and also a low amount of posts on this topic. I am coming into a 92 vx that has this already done and wanted to know is it worth getting with the known issues? I want to turbo in the future only looking to get around 200whp nothing that hasn't been seen on these motors (probably around 7-9 psi). Don't bash me to search please as I have for weeks. Also some turbo kits that would fit ebay type I know the risks and willing to take them just need something to get some experience with.

So what are you asking exactly? If you get a Ebay turbo kit then I highly recommend that your replace the turbo, wategate and BOV with quality units. Or at the least get a kit that is known to be better than others and replace the wastegate and BOV, you might be able to get a few year out of the ebay turbo on low boost.

I am coming into a 92 vx that has this mini me already done and wanted to know is it worth getting with the known issues? Low comp, loss of power. Basically a pointless head swap from what I am hearing about z1 block/z6 head. Maybe do some internal work to get CR back up and then turboing. Or would I be fine turbo'ing on stock internals but low boost?

Sounds as if you havent done ANY reading even though you say you have. If you have been researching for the past couple of days, you wouldn't need to be asking these silly ?'s.

I am trying to get different perspectives. Some people say its ok some say don't go that route at all. If you don't have advice for me please refrain from raising your post count here.

Weird...I'll say, dont go that route at all. Then someone else is gonna say, I have a mini-me too brah! Boost it like I did its ok. It will go back and forth, just like you have read the past couple days right? Read, take in the info you have gathered, make an educated decision your self.
