Have a 92 Civic VX which is my project vehicle. It's been parked in one spot now for about 4 weeks.

Today I go tackle a few minor issues, and start it up and drive it around so it doesn't seize up completely. I put about 8L of fuel in it as it was pretty low.

As I'm backing in to park it, I see that I am trailing a large amount of fuel. While it's still running, I get out to look underneath and see fuel is spraying and spurting out quite fast from an area just in front of the tank (I think). It's hard to see exactly and I am making quite a puddle on the street so frankly I just back it up the 10m to my parking spot and turn it off.

The Civic is pretty rusty, so I wouldn't be surprised if my problem was rust-related, but I thought I'd consult the experts on here as to what I should do to begin to diagnose / fix this problem.

its the fuel line, theres a pressure and a return. you should replace them both since they will probobly both be rotted out. mine broke in a different spot a few months back. i just used rubber hoses and clamps but i still had good metal to clamp down too.

btw those lines are kinda pricey from honda so be ready! and dropping the tank is a PITA

OK. A temporary solution is fine for the moment, too. Did you use any specific kind of rubber hose and clamps? Do you recall the approximate diameter of the pipes?
