Default 92 vx eg with 95 gsr motor swap

I am looking to swap a 95 integra motor into my 92 civic eg vx. I have seen many swaps online and i was told to go with the 95 because its obd1 and it will be easy to get the car bard in cali. The questions i have are
1 can i use an aftermarket IM like skunk 2 which is carb legal or a carb legal header and have no problem gettin the car bard?
2 Which is the best tranny to use for my car and why? Will the stock tranny be fine?
3 If i port and polish the head will that affect smoging the car?
4 Will a 1998 integra type R stock exhaust bolt right up and will it be ok or should i consider something else?

if i were you, in california smog the car first, mod it later. its very VERY hard. california is a little bitch when it comes to smogging. I'd go to a ref station and ask them what you need. i think you need to swap the fuel system and im not sure if the motor has to be newer than the car itself? ive heard that before.. make sure if you have any mods, have the carb legal stamp on it. if you have headers on the car weld a heatshield over it to make it look like its stock. umm idk what other information.. i prefer a type R tranny but your stock transmission is fine. As for your exhaust question i cant answer.

1: Don't know (don't live in cali)
2: Stock is fine
3: No
4: No, the coupe (EJ or teg) exausts are about 4 inches longer than the Hatch (EH). You can have it cut, but it has to be cut in two spots to clear the rear arm. It's stainless, so meineki usually won't touch it.
