92 VX with B18C1 - need more......
I have a 92 VX with a 99 B18C1 swap. The motor is bone stock internally. With basic bolt-ons, VAFC, gutted rear interior and slicks it netted me a best of 13.7@102 mph. I want to boost it and was thinking of going with a 55-75 ZEX kit but I'm still conseidering my options. Would a Drag III or similar turbo kit be safe for daily driving considering the stock compression being on the higher side?
I am considering different options - ZEX, Drag III, or JRSC. Either one I pick, I know I will see a considerable increase in power and torque but I want to make the right decision from the start.

b18c1 + Turbo + hondata + tuning = Major fun and factory like reliability and I challenge who says otherwise.
And yes a turbo will be definetly great for daily driving. With the JRSC you'll see like 220 to 240 @ the wheels max, when with a turbo kit you can see reliably 270 to 290 and very reliable. But remember Hondata and tuning will make it awesome everytime you step and drive your car.

Yes, a boosted GSR motor would be reliable as long as you keep up with maintanance. There are plenty of people with boosted motors as daily drivers, try talking those people or posting in the Forced Induction forum.

Since I asked about boosting my daily hybrid, it should be some indication of how I drive daily.... But it's not about that at all. I would like to decrease my 1/4 mile times (hit some 12's ) and just have some extra power around town for the occasional V8. I have never owned a forced inducted car so most of my ideas/opinions are drawn from what information I've read.

I have 1992 Civic CX with 1995 B18C1 USDM and JRSC with Hondata stage 3B.
Love it.
Need headers and tuning though. That's on the list.
Shawn
P.S. more HP could be gotten through low NOS shot (to cool the intake shot, maybe 25 shot, or water injection - again cooling the intake charge, or bigger crank pulley, or all the above)
