92 Si Gauge cluster into 95 CX :HELP:
I just recently got a si cluster with the tach out of a 92 EG Si. Well anyways we plugged it in into my 95 EG CX, the lights work on the cluster, the tach, fuel and temp gauges all work.. but the speedo does not.. The speedo bounces every now and again but I cant get a steady signal. I tried plugging my stock CX cluster back in and everything works fine. I also took some very fine sand paper to the connections and scuffed them up a little bit to see if that would help... but yet still nothing. Even the damn shift light works, but it flashes "CRUISE CONTROL" which is funny but ya no speedo.. i checked the connections on the back and the wires.. any suggestions on what to do?? thanks

Ya i know I can... but Im afraid that its not the speedo... Im thinkin it might just be a loose connection on the back of the cluster. I dont want to change out my speedo from my stock cluster, put it back together and have it not work.
Anymore help?

if you plug your old speedo back in, and it works fine, then the new is is bad.
just swap it out, it's 3 screws, really easy.
and if they're both bad, it's the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) on your tranny, very command problem for EGs
