92 Hatchback cant find MAP Sensor.
Its a CX with a d15b7. The guy that had the car before me put the motor in the day before i bought the car. Check engine lights on and its reading code 3 MAP Sensor. But i cant find the map sensor. I checked the firewall and throttle body and theres nothing. Are MAP sensors interchangable between years and models?

yes there interchangable between years but depending on the year of the car you will need firewall mounted or throttlebody mounted is there a clip near the fuel filter that isnt plugged in

he already said he cant find map sensor on firewall or throttle body
anyway, i think u are missing map sensor and it should be located on the firewall with a hose connects to throttle body. and u should be able to find the plug under intake manifold. they use the same plug (on the firewall or throttle body). i just relocated the map sensor on the firewall to throttle body. so i know the plug will fit.

only ones equipped with a d15b8 or d15b7, but yes, his should be on the firewall.
EDIT: OP, can you take pictures of where the MAP sensor should be?

It's not cut and dry where the MAP sensor location is on EG's, it's kinda weird. My 92 CX w/ D15B8 had a TB mounted map. Go rid of that POS for a B16A and it needed a firewall mounted MAP.

Weird. I assume it was the original throttle body?

Yes original TB. I didn't bother modding the D15B8, obviously because it had sooooo much power stock that I was snapping axle shafts and melting tires
I've seen D15B7s with TB and firewall mounted MAPs (different cars of course) so go figure.

hi, new to this forum too. i have a d15b7 w/ the map sensor on the firewall. shouldn't be hard to find. it says what it is. the guy that put your motor in might have relocated it somewhere but it cant be too far from the throttle body. it's there somewhere otherwise if you didnt have one, your car wouldn't run.
im currently having a starting problem with mine so if anyone can help me please hit up my thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2205271

Yea, OP it kinda bugged me that you have a CX with a D15B7 instead of a B8. Maybe whoever put it in relocated the MAP out of plain site. Like this guy ^^^ said it won't run w/o one. Follow the grayish vacuum coming from the TB, at the other end should be the MAP.
